Making black coffee is a straightforward process. Here's a simple recipe to guide you:

 Ingredients:

Freshly ground coffee beans (preferably medium to coarse grind)

Water

Equipment:

Coffee maker (drip, French press, AeroPress, or any method you prefer)

Coffee grinder (if using whole beans)

Coffee filter (if using a drip coffee maker)

Kettle or pot for boiling water

Mug

Instructions:

Measure the Water:

Start by measuring the water you'll need. A standard ratio is about 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds for every 6 ounces (180 milliliters) of water. Adjust according to your taste preferences.

Boil Water:

Heat the water in a kettle or pot until it reaches the desired temperature. The ideal temperature for brewing coffee is between 195°F to 205°F (90°C to 96°C).

Grind Coffee Beans (if necessary):

If you're using whole coffee beans, grind them to a medium to coarse consistency, depending on your brewing method. Aim for a consistency similar to sea salt.

Prepare Coffee Maker:

Drip Coffee Maker:

Place a coffee filter in the basket, add the appropriate amount of coffee grounds, and close the lid.

French Press:

Add the coffee grounds to the French press pot.

AeroPress:

Place a paper filter in the AeroPress cap and attach it to the brewing chamber.

Other Methods:

Follow the specific instructions for your chosen brewing method.

Add Coffee Grounds:

Measure the desired amount of coffee grounds according to your preference and add them to the coffee maker.

Pour Water:

Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee grounds, ensuring all the grounds are saturated. Use a circular motion to ensure even extraction.

Brew:

Allow the coffee to steep or drip, depending on your chosen brewing method. The brewing time can vary but typically ranges from 3 to 5 minutes.

Press or Strain:

Depending on your brewing method, you may need to press the plunger (French press), push down the AeroPress plunger, or strain the coffee through a filter.

Serve:

Once brewed, pour the black coffee into a mug and enjoy it as it is or add any desired extras like sugar, cream, or flavorings.

Cleanup:

Discard the used coffee grounds and rinse the coffee maker components for future use.

That's it! You've made a delicious cup of black coffee ready to be enjoyed. Adjust the ratio of coffee to water and experiment with different brewing methods to find the perfect cup for your taste preferences.
